Along this guide we will follow the steps to get a fully functional Fenix Autopilot.

  1. Purchase all components

    You can find the Build of Materials (list of components to be purchased)

  2. Build a prototype

    It is recommended to start with a functional prototype to test components

  3. Ensamble all components

    You can find instructions to build the autopilot

  4. Upload SW to Arduino

    Download the last Release of Fenix Autopilot SW from Github and upload to your Arduino

  5. Install Virtuino App to your Android mobile

    Download Virtuino Viewer from the Play Store and open the Virtuino for Fenix Project.

  6. Perform a first power-on test connected to your computer

    Serial I/F connection provides a reliable source of information on the health of the system for troubleshooting.

  7. Calibrate Linear Actuator and electronic compass (IMU)

  8. Install the autopilot on your boat

  9. Perform first sea trials
